Deadlifts and Fun from Sunday

My staff and I had a "retreat" the other day in Rehoboth Beach,
Delaware. We deadlifted first, of course. Then it was pizza,  Dark and Stormy drinks, some beach time, all-you-can- eat crabs and story telling. My staff is the greatest. I ask a lot of them . Once football begins, they will be working seven days a week until Thanksgiving. Usually they work from 7 to 7, and they never complain. We have 31 teams to train and there are only 4 of us, so the chance to have us all together for a day was extra special.  Like I said, deadlifts came first. Here are Cristi's and my own:

All About Being a Lifer

What's a Lifer? Someone who isn't in to something for just a day, a month, a year...it's for life. Whether its training or your family or your job...it doesn't matter. You work at it, you build on it, you see the big picture . You don't miss workouts because it means something to you. You are like a Shakespearean actor- no matter what is going on in your life, you block it out when it's time to train. You walk into the weight room and all else disappears. Worry about it later.
