We just got new shirts in featuring our logo with the saying "Squat and Leave" on the back. We--Steel, Stephen, Cristi, myself, and others--all like to get under the bar...but some people haven't caught on yet. Everyone has used the excuse "I don't have time" to train. It's really simple if you pick one exercise that'll give you the most bang for you buck, like squats! When people use that excuse, I've heard Steel say many times, "Put your body weight on the bar, squat it as many times as you can, then put it back. You can't say you don't have time for that...it takes a few minutes." Great idea...so simply, "Squat and Leave"!
What's a Lifer? Someone who isn't in to something for just a day, a month, a year...it's for life. Whether its training or your family or your job...it doesn't matter. You work at it, you build on it, you see the big picture . You don't miss workouts because it means something to you. You are like a Shakespearean actor- no matter what is going on in your life, you block it out when it's time to train. You walk into the weight room and all else disappears. Worry about it later.
